This story also goes on to say... "In 2004, the Ohio Turnpike raised the speed limit for tractor-trailer rigs to match other vehicles and tolls were reduced to encourage drivers to use the tollway instead of other roads. Since then, crashes and deaths involving big rigs have been on the rise."
It fails to mention that although only the truck speed limit was raised, cars started to travel at a faster average speed than before. And this useless editor fails to mention that a reason for more "crashes and deaths involving big rigs" is the great increase in the number of trucks that took to the highway. Yes, the number of accidents went up, but so did the number of vehicles using the roadway. Oh, and does Mr. Editor state who is at fault in some 90% of those accidents? Certainly not, as that would make his fear mongering irrelevant.

I just wrote to the editor and told him I'm very happy to see the speed limit raised to 65 because now those ##%*!*#%~ Canadian truckers with their 105 km/h speed limiters will quit tailgating my hazmat tanker .
