On Centramatics.
I put them on my drive tires and have 280k on them right now with 15/32 of tread left.
In reality, I probably could have had more but I only installed the Centrmatics at about the 150k mark.
I didn't notice any change in mileage and sometimes, as another poster mentioned, the weight gets jarred loose after a pothole and takes a few seconds to get back to balance. At first, I thought something broke because, right after the bump, I'd feel the vibration. But, about the time I got good and sure that something was wrong, the vibration would go away, usually 3-5 seconds. Now, I know to expect it and so it's no big deal.
I have no idea how they work but they do seem to work.
They make an annoying hiss/rattle sound at low speeds though. Rolling through a parking lot, you can hear the weights sloshing around like sand in a cement mixer. -
how do you guys figure centermatics extended your tire life ? if everything (alignment, shocks, kingpin etc...) ok with your truck drive tires can run roughly 500k steers 250k without centermatics
