ATS, Daily Express, JK Hackl, Wylie, Lonestar, Combined Transport, and a whole slew of smaller outfits participate in moving the wind energy projects.
Things are slow due to weather and economy. But T. Boone Pickens should have it moving shortly...![]()

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Someone mentioned special training to learn how to drive this stuff...
where can you go for that?
do the company's teach you?Travisroland Thanks this. -
get some platform experiance, then go to ATS or lonestar or one of the others...they will slowly progress you the the ranks to the bigger stuff

It is something you just do not jump into, I have hauled permitted loads for years and I still am not interested in hauling turbines, though the money is outstanding. An ATS driver dumped one in a town square a couple years ago, even though it was a trailer malfunction and not driver error they still were cracked down on very hard. Some of the places you have to deliver them have roads that were designed for nothing larger then a stationwagon and I do not need that stress in my life. But my hats off to those who haul them.
