Who hauls the wind turbines?

    I believe I read somewhere ATS requires at least 5yrs OTR before they even hire ya. Then you work your way up to the big loads.

    I've hauled a lot of blades, though I do not currently, nor have I ever driven for ATS. I am considering going to them however.

    ATS is the largest company that hauls wind tower components.

    They get bigger than that. The ones I hauled last year were 157' long, and there is talk of longer ones yet! I know in Denmark, they are using ones offshore that are a hair over 200' long.

    Hey, I dunno if this got answerd or not, a million freakin replys, but I know LONESTAR FLATBED outa.... Sweetwater/Abilene area, hauls those windmills out to the windmill farms.

    They require one year. Then you work your way up to the big loads. Depending on available freight, this could be fast as in a year or much longer.
