Cat C15 Fuel Problem

Ive seen several different mbns and none have had the hand primer. Why idk.

 

Unusual mbn is a 6nz basicly. You sure there isn't a primer plunger on top of filter housing ?

 

return hose can have a leak and wont cause starting issue. It just goes to tank. You can check for leaks in all your lines by threading in an air fitting to the top of the tank. preussreize the tank with no more than 1 or 2 psi and if there is a leak ANYWHERE, you find a steady drip which will be easily seen.

 

Not all cats have hand primer but some of them do. Depends on what you ordered. Most install them afterward. So you cant say mbn doesn not have one. some 6nz have them and some dont. There are plenty mbns with them. The op will clearly be able to see if he has one or not. If it does not have one and there is a block off plate where there would be a hand primer. My suggestion would be to remove the block off plate and install hand primer. I had an issue with block off plate where truck wouldnt start. Installed hand primer and havent had a problem in 2 years. Something about the check valves in the primer which are very good.

Ok, then after you check all your lines and they check ok. The only thing left is injectors. You can have an injector leak off when the engine is not running and operate normally when running. Then it takes the transfer pump a while to build up enough pressure for the injectors to fire.

 

I was just saying mbns do not come factory with a hand primer is all. I know you can easily add one.
