1995 Peterbilt 379 short hood

We have a personal record, western Kansas eastbound during a summer storm where the 60 plus mph winds pushed us down 70 for a few hours. Turned in 12.8 to 15 miles to gallon according to the engine's panel in the century 2001 truck we had that day. It was a day to remember and I don't think there is anywhere else in the USA you can try and turn in those numbers.

We had another run from Oregon Willamette all the way down to Diego then Arizona. Hunting fuel in some of the old 50's truckstops were a real treasure hunt for precious desiel I think we did just about 1650 on 320 gallons over a few days which would be just about as far as I can take a 500 detriot driving very lightly on the hammer. We did apporach 2000 miles on that 340 gallon fuel several times but it's flat out team trucking in those days for us. That isnt mileage record it's straight race against time itself.

 

We recently bought this truck,an stumbled across this post,kinda weird that i ran in to it.But would like to talk with OP about the truck. we left a private message too,i have questions.I added a few pics that will cross with your posted pics, if you examine the pics,i have pics of title an vin too but wont post that.I think i have your phone number from the paperwork files, but did not want to cold call you.so hope i can speck with you about some issues.thanks

What are the issues you are having? Its been a couple years since you owned it now right? Anyhow, whats going on that you might need help. Truck looks good with the stacks back on
