There were only a hair over 4900 6nz engines built in 99, would be rare to see one in a KW or a pete with the amount of engines that they were ordering at a time.

The truck came with an 18 but for some reason the guy I bought it from put a 15 in it. I haul cars so shifting it like a 10 spd is no big deal since weight isnt a concern and I'm nit crawling thru any mudOxbow Thanks this.
-
Oh no. Don't you know that there are about 50,000 truck owners who claim to have those 4,900 made in 1999?
-
Mine is a c15 but I may have to make it look like a 3406e
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Which is dumb, the differences between the 2ws and those are minimal and would be far more believable.
We have number 3251, lucked out with it being in a FL when pete and KW were still using 2ws. -
I have one with a build date of 12/23/99.SAR, farmer1931 and spsauerland Thank this.
-
Kind of a dead give away it is a C-15 by the sculpted block vs 2WS 3406E with the heavier block.
SAR, farmer1931, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
They act as if the 6nz is the holy grail of Cat engines. Maybe the best factory set up of C15s, but I've heard the 2ws was a better engine.Cabinover101 and Oxbow Thank this.

In all reality besides the acert technology, the acert engines have the best rotating assembly out of any of the engines.SAR, MartinFromBC and Oxbow Thank this.
