Truck smokes a slight haze on idle, more visible at night by a light pole. Is this a concern or a usual thing. I've seen some trucks smoke at truck stops at night while idling.

Its turned up by diesel doctor. Injectors set at 75, 7 percent fuel added. Before the manifold turbo and retune it didnt smoke haze on idle. During the day it's very hard to notice, also very strong diesel smell from the exhaust. I actually climbed up top and put my hand over the exhaust and smelled it. Was very strong diesel unburnt smell. I'm wondering if there is to much fuel on idle and can be tuned better? Or faulty injector? Low idle or high idle it smokes but very light haze ,1.6 million milestone the engine over hauled at 1mil. Also noticed a slight vibration while accelerating between 1250 to 1500rpm. 2 injectors where replaced by previous owner like 200k. Truck runs hard and pulls like a champ!

Mine does that, under a street light, sometimes , It is sometimes only visible from one one view, walk around and can’t be seen, it depends on the lighting, very strange, and alarming, Lol. I can’t figure it out. Maybe has something to do with humidity, as I notice it only at night. Maybe it’s the dew in the air? It’s strange though,

It's the 75 trim codes in your ecm. Some cylinders are getting to much fuel at idle. They should all be set what the injector calls for, your engine will run smoother and no stink and haze at idle.

You want more power do it the right way and put bigger injectors in your engine with the correct codes as per injector.

Try setting trim codes to 55 for all if you don't want to remove rocker cover and get correct codes for each injector.

What injectors would you recommend? Also is it an issue the way it is?

It all depends what engine you have. Also what tune your running. No your not going to hurt it running the 75 codes , it will just do what your describing.

I sent you Leon's contact info. He can set you up with proper tune and possible injector recomendation if so needed.
