Correct. I'll get paid even when my truck is sitting, and compared to OTR the miles are low. Plus I'm gonna get paid to be in my truck instead of a room, and my meals are free. I'll be in major cities a lot, but we do almost all of our traveling at night, which will be nice. Never been to NYC, looks like that's about to change. At least I won't be fighting rush hour.

Oh, and I forgot to mention... I'll never have to pay for parking which will be a welcome change. I typically have 2-3 spots a week here. No such thing as paid parking on the road which will be nice. My truck will always be at a venue. So that'll save me a good $50/week.

MIT Thanks this. -
Also get free Aflac. Urgent care is all covered, as well as short/long term disability for job related injuries. I hate you, Chicago, and I hate you Atlanta. But looks like I'm going to see you again, and soon. You're ugly and I hate you, but I guess we're gonna have to get along.

Driver A: Of course you'd follow me in here, you pickle park princess! I bet you're gonna work the lot while you're here ain't ya?
Driver B: You're doggone right I'm gonna work that lot!
Me: Well how much do you charge?
Driver B: Well 20 dollars is 20 dollars!
Driver A: Don't you let him tell you that ####. He'll do it for 5!

This part took a lot of introspection. There is a big part of me that believes what my trainer told me was true. Because of how sad his expression became when he talked about his supposed Nascar opportunity, I know he has regrets. I'm still not sure if I fully believe him, but that was a pretty true moment. I know that jobs like this almost never come around. And when they do, they always lead to bigger things if you take advantage of them and you aren't a dick to get along with. I'll take a 3 month run because I'm looking at the long game. I'll make connections here that lead to something even crazier. And no offense to anyone who does our job but... I have friends at home who run gasoline from station to station. It's respectable and it's a living. I could easily be that guy. And if I'm that guy, I'm gonna hear stories about jobs like this and wonder what could have been. F that. I'm gonna go see what could've been.

And yup, dam sure I'll be making a thread about this. Never gonna post anything about the company, but dam sure gonna post about the ride. Nothing I've ever done in my life was really worth posting. Apparently my posts here helped people and that's cool, glad I did something productive. But my next thread is gonna be the one to watch
I'm hoping that at some point Megadeth goes on tour and I get a spot. Dave Mustaine is my hero. Met everyone in the band except him.
