I dunno, $40-$50 hour is the norm for mechanics where I'm at.
stwik Thanks this. -
Your $40 an hour Equates to about $33 an hour here......
So theres your 70k plus/minus overtime etc.....
Tomato/Tomato -
Same pay for over 1/3 less hours and home every night. Still a better deal IMO.

$110 per hour here west coast for a good mechanic.

There are two guys that want to be championship fighters. One joins a gym, gets a trainer, does a bunch of conditioning and sparring. The other watches a bunch of Rocky movies, buys a heavy bag and speed bag, and finds some How To videos on YouTube.
You’re the undisputed champion of the world.
The kid that joined the gym is at a roadblock, he is having troubles with southpaws. He tells you that he wants to be a champ eventually, but needs help getting through the roadblock.
The other kid comes up to you telling you how many times he watched Rocky and all that he learned from YouTube, and is asking you advice on how to start his professional career as a fighter. He doesn’t want to go waste time in a nasty gym and doesn’t need a trainer. Heck, he even bought Kimbo Slice’s book.
Two guys wanting the same goal, but that’s two completely different conversations.TROOPER to TRUCKER, InTooDeep, FlaSwampRat and 5 others Thank this. -
@TripleSix
In the end it’s up to the guy who’s hungry the most that will win.
Like I said before. I read a book watched a few YouTube videos, 2 hours of practice with trainer and 3 with brother. -
@TripleSix , “But Six, my trainer and recruiter said it’s the it’s the only way to go and sign on with them and make the big bucks”.......
TripleSix, FlaSwampRat and Lepton1 Thank this. -
I started the hard way, no you tube, no trainer. Didn’t even have TTR. Load boards hadn’t been invented. I had to watch Movin on and learn from Sonny and Will, this was pre Smokey and the Bandit.
starmac, Feedman, RedForeman and 9 others Thank this. -
Feedman Thanks this.
