1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I have a citation from 06 I recieved for 42 in a 25. I missed the sign dropping from 55-45 and was still rolling around 55-60 when I saw the sign for 35 and got popped by a trooper in OK. Is there any reefer company out there that will over look this to anyones knowledge. I dont get it I know guys that have done hard time for felonies and they got a job and I get a ticket (no it wasnt characterized as a wreckless driving one either) and I have had no luck finding employment. My last job was 8 months ago. I left to help my parents with there health issues. Now that things are stable with them Im ready to get back on the road. Please help if you can.

    Thanks

Problem here is, that 15 over rule (unwritten, but used for insurance issues) so you could have an uphill battle going with the timing (2006) and the down-swing in hiring.

Good luck in your search though.

You are considered a serious risk for insurance companies and as I posted to a lady on the new drivers thread asking about her husband being convicted for excessive speed such as yours, her husband is at the bottom of the hiring list

For now on don't just pay the ticket get a lawyer it's definitely the way to go. I got a job with Swift and my driving record was far from perfect but I didnt have one at that high of speed the previous 3 years but i did have one at about 5 years previous and that was like a 70 in a 55 and I still got the job. I also had 2 the same day about a year before i was hired running a stop and laying drag (spinning wheels) lol im young and had a fast car and i definitely drive my rig a little differently plus im governed at 63 and cant do much speeding anymore :( I do hope you find something though.....

Insurance companies look even harder at O/O's . This is no time to take on the burden of a truck payment . The miles to afford it aren't there .

in tennessee they cant go past 3 years on your mvr. so it wont show up after 3 years. if you werent charged with wreckless driving it shouldnt show up or atleast in tennessee it wont. most companys want no tickets in the past 3 years. you will get a job in due time.
