Old company never reported to DAC ?!?!?

So I finally decided to take the offer FFE made to me. Tentatively planned on going to orientation in Chicago on May 4th. First things first I had to sign the release forms for them to pull my DAC and check all the info I put in the online app. No problem... right? YEAH, RIGHT!!

So I get a call today from the recruiter. She tells me the last company I drove OTR for (we'll call them Company A, and I drove for them on two occasions and they are now closed down) never reported my employment or anything about me to DAC. Sounds nice, huh? No report is better than them putting something bad on there. But the company I worked for in between my two terms of service with Company A stated I worked for them for 12 months longer than I did!!

My history should read: starting 10-2004 with Company A, then 9 months at Company B, then back to Company A for 11 months, then local hauling gas. Nope, not according to DAC. They have nothing at all on Company A, and Company B showing me for 1 yr. 11 months overlapping when I started with the gas hauling. What a mess!

So I now have to get in touch with my accountant and get copies of my W-2's to send to FFE so they can verify my employment with Company A. That way they can (1) Verify I am not falsifying my application, and (2) Verify my experience with an OTR company so I can get credit for that experience and the higher starting pay.

Plus, I sent in the forms for USIS today to get a copy of my DAC so I can dispute the inaccuracies on my report. I have been off work since August when I broke my arm in a car accident (not my fault), then while on leave for that I get laid off with no hopes for a recall, then it takes over a month from when I started looking to finally find a job and now this. I just want to go to work!!

DAC is a mess, and what ever happened to giving you a road test, and if you can drive, go drive.

This actually happens a LOT. Not all companies are diligent with DAC reporting, and it can really mess with some drivers. I saw this many times last year in my stint in our company's recruiting desk. It is frustrating for the drivers as well as recruiting. Just one more way to mess with drivers... a last "pat on the back" so to speak.

i think dac needs to be removed. b/c they can report on us. on some cases its total bs. but we can't report on companys. might be able to do something like BBB. but who knows. i think there should be something started on companys tho. it would help all drivers find the best company with out haveing the word of mouth from other drivers not saying anything about other drivers. but it would be better for all of us in the long run

    MRQ Thanks this.

I strongly recommend you not dispute the items on your DAC report yourself. A driver has less than a 10% chance of having the information removed and under FRCA guidelines, an item listed on your DAC report can ONLY BE DISPUTED ONE TIME!.
If you do not win, this information will remain on your DAC
for 7 years and you can hang up driving.

Our company specializes in assisted drivers dispute negative or inaccurate information on their DAC reports.
