    Oh, I understand about "fixer-uppers"... :biggrin_25525:
My truck is in good running condition and the transmission is good (so far) Cummins engine and a super 10. For my deal it's a little bit at a time, I've got a lot of time and patience, so I am ok with it. It's going to be a lot of fun fixing it up and as far as the outward appearance, I have a goal. It will be finished by March 2010.

So far, here's what I've found and believe me I am far from a mechanic. I'll have to chip the oil out of it. LOL. So, I'll change all of the fluids at the same time. Engine needs to be cleaned. New tires all the way around but will get new steers first. Clutch needs adjusted. I think it should have new tierods but I'll let someone who knows more than me make that determination. Lots of little things, like no window cranks, mud flaps, trim that holds the headlight and turnsignals in, etc. Needs a paint job but that will be the December project. So, its going to be a work in progress.

But, I do understand what you're saying and thank you for that advice.

Looks better at a distance!(lol) If it had some fibreglass repaired, plus a new paint job, plus another exhaust(making it dual). It would make the old flat top look pretty nice!

I'll have to take some pics like our friend, Coadman, did. I don't think I'm going to do anything until I know it's running well and then start to make a few changes. I want it sound and then I'd like to start on appearance. Some kind of twin stacks comes to mind, lol.

What can anyone tell me about super singles? Pros and cons. Cost of them and changing over is something to consider.

Coadman and Moderator, is it ok for me to use your thread or would you rather I started one of my own?
