Cat Peronsality Control Module Question

    I have a few questions about Cat ET. Mostly about adjustments that can be made to a truck to up the power. I have a BXS and already have a 550 hp 1850 tq tune on it. I want to know what can be adjusted and exactly how to do it. My buddy has an MXS with a 550 hp 1850 tq file on it but he runs away from me. It doesn't smoke, it doesn't heat, and he's had it this way for several years and he's never had an issue. I'm looking for someone that has some experience with any kind of modifications in the Cat ET program.

    How does he run away from you?? Are you both running the same size tires, same gears, same weight, same every thing?? Engine ratings are only a small part of the puzzle.

    He has bigger tires, same gears, gross's roughly 20,000 more. I plugged my computer in and he has a 550 hp 1850 tq brake saver flash file on it, but he sent his ECM off to have a tune put on it for 625 hp and 2050 tq. I was just wondering if the same adjustments could be made without having to send my ECM off by adjust stuff in Cat ET. For anyone who wants to know, I put the 550 hp 1850 tq heavy haul file on mine.

    The only thing you can change with the Cat ET is the trim codes. Anything else, like changing the flash files etc, your gonna need a password generator.

    I have a password generator. I also changed my 475 hp 1650 tq truck to 550 hp 1850 tq heavy haul.

    Then you have everything in front of you. Find out what file your friend has and flash yours. Find out what program file he has by the number, and fls/fts and change them. Find out what trim codes he is using.

    My question is...he has an MXS and mine is a BXS. Will changing to exactly what he has vary our results since they have different serial numbers?
