Wouldn't surprise me if they do. We have them up here in Tampa already, pythons have made it up here too. There is macaw parrots in the swamp that is up against my back yard and those things are loud. Y'all are on to something here, we just gotta start eating all of these invasive species. Without trying to sound too racist we can give them to the Cubans in Ybor to eat if they taste bad because they will eat anything. They eat chucks and yard birds in the city.... pythons can't be too bad lol.

Louisiana has had a campaign for years now, encouraging the eating of Neutra Rats, Haven’t heard yet, how it’s working out. Lol

Chicken of the trees, eat 'em up. Green iguanas are endangered in some places in Central America because they're a food source.

I'm all for eating invasive species whenever possible. Asian carp are the big one in my area. They're delicious, and they'll even do all the work and jump in the boat for you. Most people just hear "carp" and quit listening, which is a shame. We have a big fish fry 2-3 times a year for the neighborhood serving just Asian carp, and everyone loves it.

Wild hogs might be good too. I've heard it both ways but haven't tried it myself.

I can confirm that wild hog is good. I thought it would be gamey but definitely not the case.

Asian carp sounds real tasty. They have a problem with those fish around the Great Lakes(especially Lake Michigan). As for iguanas,IDK,it seems like there’s no meat on them, nothing but bones, teeth and scales, lol. They’re a nuisance sometimes,I remember a few years back one caused a blackout in Orlando after it blew a transformer! It’s also happened a lot around portions of South Florida (Key West,Tamarac, Lauderdale Lakes,etc.).
Florida officials declare open season on iguanas as lizard population
