Educate me about Tennessee Locals

I live in the Tri-Cities, Elizabethton to be exact. No problems finding local freight around here going just about anywhere you’d like. Great climate, summer is hot and humid like it should be, winter is cold, windy and sometimes snowy like it should be. Watauga and Boone Lakes within minutes of the house. 30 minutes to the VA line, 30 minutes to the NC line. Very reasonable property taxes and I’m clueless about this talk of $14k building permits. Most anything you want to build on your own property, you build it. Most things don’t require any kind of permit in Carter County.

everything in gatlinburg is $100. go out to eat. $100. go go kart riding. $100

 

you every go to watauga lake. i run 321 and old 321 all the time.

 

I do. My buddy and my father in law both have pontoons. It’s great to just cruise around or jump in for a quick dip. Just an FYI, Watauga is supposed to be the “cleanest” lake in TN.
