I'm in shirt sleeves when it's 50. Not taking a shower for a day makes me uncomfortable

This is why the first thing to do when you buy a truck is install running water. It might not be a full fledged shower but you can clean up real good with a sink and 20 gallon water tank. When im done tarping an engine in South Florida in July i want to get washed up and get some dry clothes on now, not wait till i get parked that night.

Yeah. The only option if I do this is starting on my own without the advantage of having learner the ropes before hand. Last year I payed taxes on 162k in adjusted earnings. I can't afford to work for someone else. However, I have been thinking of adding an office person to take over my administrative load, to allow me more time to dedicate to making freight contacts and learning experiences. I'm not decided yet. I admired my mom into Moffitt today. I will hold my completed mcs150. form to update my dot information, and the op1 form to apply for mc authority until my life allows me a free mind and time to properly move forward. Besides, I'm saving cash to adequately fund this venture. Time has a way of working things out, for better or worse.

I had considered working with an 80-20 carrier under an O/O agreement. It's just not practical with no experience, I've discovered. I wouldn't pay one of my own employees only 35k. Maybe I can hire someone to teach me some things when I'm ready. I will likely just start accepting loads and learn as I go. That's what I've always done in life. It's mostly served me well.

Now that makes sense. I love to sweat, but hate sitting in my own stink. I suppose it's like installing running water shower on a sailboat. Even I can handle that. The other mechanical stuff, not so much. Thanks for that idea

One thing I learned nearly 30 years ago; I'm not a very good employee. I am a good worker and motivated but refuse to be managed. That's why I went into business in the first place, mostly. It's not a good character trait, but it's my reality. I would have no patience for being someone's subordinate and would wind up messing that up for sure

I like the internal shower idea, I can do that, lol. Stay fresh, smell good, feel good, do well!

Could remove the passenger seat and put in a shower. Leave the curtains open and put out a tip jar, might even pay for dinner.

Just make sure you buy a maxforce!!! That’s the other side to this. Or buy a 2008-2014 truck.

What’s your goal for a truck? Nice, new, old, or pre eld. Gliders are almost done.
