You think there is money on the road when you have to run two households and force you son to live with no father for no other choice that "money"? There is are a lot of things that a steady lower paying job does give you.. and that's a real relationship with your kids and significant other.Another Canadian driver, FlaSwampRat, deathB4decaf and 1 other person Thank this.

I appreciate your output, but long term goal is buy my own truck and run back and fourth from the ports LOCAL making 4 thousand a week. I'm gonna do what I gotta do ensure his future is secured, if that means sacrificing some time then that's fine.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I've decided I'm gonna stay where I'm at, I'm just overreacting because I've been on the road for almost 2 months all together STRAIGHT. I started lagging behind really hard and it showed on my miles. Going from 550+ down to 300 here 400 there. I just gotta show them I'm good. Appreciate all the info, especially you Chinatown. I see you helping people ALLLLL over the forum, your a blessing in disguise man.

I understand the sacrifice part. Just a word of advice, you can't get that time back no matter how much money you make. That bonding time is very important for you and your child. My parents use to audit credit unions and made $175,000.00 a year, combined, with 4 months off in a year. My parents both took local jobs to be with me as a child. Memories are worth more than anything.Another Canadian driver, FlaSwampRat and x1Heavy Thank this.

For what it's worth, brother, I think you made a good decision. They gave you a chance knowing you got a felony. You sound like a standup guy. Just stick with it. Communicate with your driver manager, tell him/her like this:
"Hey, can you keep an eye out for a load that will get me home on a weekend here in the near future?" Be diplomatic and that way it's no pressure. Stick it out, it does get better with timeD.Tibbitt, Dreazz75, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this.
