There was something similar back in the 80s. I can't remember what they were called, but they were essentially a plastic tube with a nicotine filter inside. I tried them, but ended up going back to good ol' smokes. Of course, I quit those 8 years ago.

HAs anybody tried the new e-cigarettes? They're actually vaporizers, but it looks like smoke. My husband bought one online and was able to go from the very first day from two packs a day to 5-6 a day.

The main four ingredients in the cartridges are water, nicotine, propylene glycol and flavor. They do NOT smell like smoke. In fact, I couldn't smell anything sitting right next to my husband while he "vaped." You don't light it, nothing burns, and there are NO ashes!!

There are some places online where you can buy the starter kits as well as replacement batteries, chargers, atomizers. You can buy empty cartridges as well and just buy the bottles of "eliquid" to top off your MT carts. They nicotine comes in strengths from zero up to 36 mg. The flavors are almost endless. I have seen vanilla, watermelon, Dr. Pepper, coffee, lychee, chocolate as well as the traditional tobacco flavor and menthol flavors. My husband was able to find a place to buy the menthol drops to replicate the menthol flavor.

I think this new device is just awesome!!

I have heard that even ex-smokers that still want the oral fixation have tried them with just the zero nicotine juice. Just flavored vapor. How awesome!!

A friend of mine has gone from nearly 4 packs a day to less than one thanks to these e-cigarettes. He bought the N-joy brand that's sold at the Pilots.

    GAPrincess Thanks this.

My husband was able to buy a starter kit directly from China for 30.00!! The atomizers and batteries were much cheaper, too. He also got a sampler juice pack from a supplier here in the U.S. Now he can "vape" vanilla and root beer.

A friend of mine is one of the developers of this smoke-less smoke (there are many bringing this idea to market)...I don't smoke so my BIG question to those who do and use product is: (1) how much nicotine do you know that you're getting and (2) when do you say...enough? There's no end to the "cigarette".so how do you know when to turn it off and put it down?
