alberta and spreads

What spread are you talking 10'1 or canadian?
You can't a reg. spread to BC only what they call a canadian spread can go to BC.
You can take a 10'1 spread up to QC and ON though been there done that.
Oh yeah 10'1 spread can not go to Alberta.

 

I thought they could but were treated like single axles?

 

Not the last I checked I had a line on chemicals last year going up there with my stepdeck but couldn't do it because of my trailer.Unless you can get you load on right and weight 14,000lbs or less on the spread or so I was told.Made no sence but what ya going to do.
BC is a deff no no... a company I had my truck on with when I bought it takes haz waste up there and the only thing they would let us in with was closed tandams (had a couple guy get turned away but we were pulling roll offs so just swap bins with the guys coming up with the tandams).

 

Not to hijack the thread but hey 550 you need to get a bigger boost gauge.Autometer makes a 100psi mech boost gauge less than $100 I p/u one up last year.Just put your shades on if you get the C2 gauge line I got 3 of those model gauges and the cool blue led lights in them are frickin bright I also have there pyro and a boost/vac gauge on the air cleaners to monitor the air cleaners.

 

LOL, i had a 80psi KW gauge but it broke so i put this one back in. I dont want the autometer gagues, they feel really cheap to me, i like the factory look.

 

Alberta doesn't. I have to slide my axle back to the closed position when I come back home.

So far, this thread has suggested that 10'1" spread axle trailers are illegal, yet have also been seen running in said provinces of AB and BC.

So....I can either take my spread thru these provices, and or I cannot, and or with only 14,000 pounds on the spread, and or with only 10,000 per each axle combined at 20,000 pounds (half the legal limit in the states)

Can one legaly drag a 10' 1" spread thru these provices with the forward axle up and off the ground?

WTF is it?

Why on GODS green earth would a 10 1 spread be limited to such low weights, or even illegal all together. W.T.F ?
