FozzyBear,
Glad to hear your all done. How many days did you go to school. I'm starting tomorrow and just was trying to figure out about how many days?
Thanks again for all your great updates

it 21 days then u gradute and go with a trainer for 35 days then back to orentation 2 and go back out for 21 days at which u are only get 350 on the 35 days and i think it like 15 cents per mls on the 21 days
-
Thanks bigben,
I was watching FozzyBear posting and it didn't seem like it was 21 days -
My class started on the 11th and we graduated on the 29th. Actully 17 days in school, but Saturdays are half days. If you are starting on the first you will graduate on the 19th. The next day is your hire date. You make $350.00 per week for all the time from then through your 35 days/5 weeks, orientation 2 AND your three weeks out with a finishing trainer. There is no mileage pay until you get your own truck. I did not get dispatched out yesterday, so I'm sitting in a motel at company expense. I have a nasty cold, but I'm feeling better.

#### i had to pay for my motel and food when i was there so watch yor back

No sure if it will help me time wise. I live in Dallas and have my permit and have already passed all my written tests.
-
yes it will now all u ahve to do is practice driving then take the driving test u are ahead of the class now bc most of the people will not even have the permits yet
-
bigben06, Sorry for all the questions. So once I start maybe I'll jump ahead to the driving part and get out of school faster? Thanks again for your advice
-
No, they want to teach you the Stevens way. There were 4 guys in my class who already had their cdl's they still went through the whole school. Depending on where you got your permit you may need to take your written tests over again. They only use Dallas east and Garland and the tests don't transfer. My roomate had to take his over because he did them some place else. Bottom line, you will go through the whole school unless you are a rehire or experienced already.
-
Yeah I took all my test and got my permit in Garland.
