I just graduated from a CDL school and looking to start into my new career. I'm running into the same problem over and over again with all these companies. Accidents! I'm 33 and I've been in two car accidents in my life! The problem is they were 4 months apart and just over a year ago. The first one was not my fault, the other driver ran a stop sign, but the second one was. I was merging onto a roadway in heavy rain, attempted to accelerate and the rear of my car fishtailed just slightly, but enough for my left rear to strike the right side of a car traveling to my left.

When these companies review this accident report, they tell me that is a serious accident and it needs to be 3 years since.

I hate to think I'm going to waste $4,000 to get my CDL and never get to use it.

    Can anyone offer any advice?

:biggrin_25510:TxRanger28, Sometimes, life just ain't fair, Pardner. I would suggest trying for a local gravel/food distributor/trash company/Coke-Pepsi/ type of operation. It may not be what you want, but will get you going until 3 years lapses. Good luck.....Also, dock work at a trucking outfit could get you in the door. Do you know how many times over the years I've heard how guys were working the dock/whse and so and so called in sick and , bamm, the dock worker was just promoted to driver.
