    Quick question guys. Sorry if it's a dumb one but I'm about to start trucking school in 2 months and I heard besides cdl exam I have to take my class C exam all over again correct? By the way I'm from southern california. My question Is I have my M1 motorcycle license also.. will the DMV make me re take my M1 exam again on top of everything else?

    No, you don't test again for your Class-C.
    Your Class-C is simply converted to a Class-A CDL which is used for your tractor-trailer and your automobile.

    The motorcycle will become a endorsement. Tho beware. When your license is upgraded, you may only get a paper license with the actual coming in the mail two weeks later. This may only be a Maine thing. What ever school you get this from will help you along there. If your doing this with out a school your in for a interesting surprise. As states expect you to have wheel time before you do the test at the DMV.

    Hey OP, not to be a prick but please please tell us where you are from and put that in your profile. Different states have different licensing requirements - my state doesn't really have a "class C", they are a Chauffeurs license which means more money for them.
