Question, when you get issued a new CDL license which is transferred from Class E does that mean you start with a fresh clean record?
I've had 3 tickets in the last 10 years.
2 speeds which are 7 years old now maybe even 8 and 1 which is an improper u turn which is a few months old.
The 1st two were dismissed and the u turn was no contest and withholding adjudication (no points/fine/school) so does that still show on your record?
All that was on the Class E (CDL permit) but license was not an A (yet).

If anything stuck it will still show on your MVR... Your licence # will still be the same... Its just changed to a different class, which then makes it a CDL.
snowmantrucking101 and brian991219 Thank this. -
never heard of a class E license. had to Google it.

you have a lifetime DMV record, from your very first operator's license, till the day you die.
if you were to move to another state, THAT state is supposed to contact your former state for your record...
unless you moved to Massachusetts, where they don't give a flying bird....faux_maestro and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Your driving record lists convictions only, ever. What that means is the two speeding tickets never happened as you were not convicted. The U turn was a conviction (You plead guilty (no contest is a guilty plea)).
What that means is you have one offense on your record. Most starter companies want three or less. As long as you keep clean you'll have no trouble getting a job.faux_maestro Thanks this. -
I'm going to have to call the attorney.
When does this ticket fall off my record. -
You drive a truck?Numb Thanks this. -
doesn't make them stupid.
however, for you to have made such a comment........
and for you to ask if your driving record is wiped clean with the switch over,
speaks volumes of your.....................(fill in the blank)
you drive a truck..????FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Thing is, one ticket won't hurt your chances anyway. Just list it on apps when asked and move on with life.
The ticket never falls off your record, it happened. Most companies only care about the last three years though, and most MVR's only provide the last three years of info. The companies that care about more time without tickets are the same companies that you need more experience to even get anyway.jamespmack Thanks this. -
Well, I had to google it too. Had no idea what a Class E was. I'm not that old, but it didn't exist when I got my CDL. I don't agree with it either and don't feel your much of a truck driver with it, but that's here nor there.
