Looks like the cops in Edison NJ are looking for a dump truck! Amazing people in the Jeep were not seriously injured.

one company i had worked for, actually "branded" thier casings. this was so that they got back thier casings after recapping.
maybe that ought to be a law (as if there aren't enough), so that the company can be found and charged accordingly.lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
I would be more concerned about the mechanic that last changed that tire. Or the owner if they were running the wheel with out enough nuts to hold the wheel on.
FlaSwampRat and buddyd157 Thank this. -
being in NJ, i'd be concerned with ANY (IF ANY) work done on that dump....FlaSwampRat, Lepton1 and lovesthedrive Thank this.

Wow!
Good thing they weren't in a smart car.tinytim Thanks this. -
If I there was no footage of the wheel coming off of dump truck I would say this story is related to this earlier one
One MacGyver-like repair OK while another is not -
a month ago slept at westbound rest area on I-40 near Newberry springs, CA. In the morning I was about to start my driving and I saw a truck with trailer is going to west on I-40 without last axle wheels. Wheels were following the truck )))) eventually dually wheels exited the highway. ))) right to the field )))

Looks like a wheel off of a tag axle (float axle)
MartinFromBC and mhyn Thank this. -
That Jeep took a pretty hard hit. I think it was a bearing failure.
