Anytime I've done blind load receiver was aware of it.
MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
See that's my whole problem with this. Our company says don't contact the broker for the correct bol until you get almost to delivery. So my last load the fake bill said Ohio to Dallas. I picked the load up in Houston and took to Monroe, La. There are alot of miles and weigh stations between Houston and Monroe. Again i realize there is alot of secreacy in hauling blind loads but the amount of loads we're hauling that are stamped full of the shippers logos and the fact that that we are told to keep our mouth's shut makes me wonder what really is going on?Adieu, MartinFromBC and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Blind loads go on all the time. In the produce business it is normal.
Back in my chicken hauling daze, it was nothing to pick up a load of produce in California, the BOL said XYZ grocery somewhere Florida. I would call the broker twice a day letting him know where I was, about Louisiana he would fax me a BOL going to the place it needed to go.
And have done the same in the tanker business.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I hauled a load of cantaloupes from port Everglades Florida (Guatemala grown) to Ralph’s grocery in LA. Went to Los Banos California picked up a load of cantaloupe to Publix in Jax Florida. Needless to say that trailer smelled #### good for days!MartinFromBC, Snailexpress and Rideandrepair Thank this.

So how do you bid that run not knowing the total miles on the run?
-
I pull load on occasion that I guess would be blind, out of the #####, NV area, The BOL says "surplus product" if load is in question please call 1 800 not talking. Trailers are sealed and not marked, generally the tractors are not marked either except a DOT number on the bottom of the door, I hook up and take them non-stop to where it is indicated. Never know whats inside or the actual true weight.
Shipped by I dont know, picked up from I cant say, taken to I forget.
Any loads for normal commerce I will not haul without a real BOL, if its a van I require to inspect the loading and securing, and if in doubt weigh it out. -
Back in the day I ran for IWX in the winter we would load in Tucson and the BOL would say it was from Salinas, I would write on the BOL P/U T&A Yuma AZ in Big Letters across the bottom.

No bid. Just ran X dollar per loaded mile.
That broker was accepting bids on that load from the time I left the dock. No mater what, that load was going to a buyer somewhere on the east coast. -
You guys need to watch the movie " Transporter ".
Best thing that you can do for yourself is not ask questions. Take the money and run.
