it's just like the inflation on any 2 or 4 wheelers that you might have at the house.
check them when they are cold (and most owners manuals will say at least 4 hours of just sitting), then inflate to what the door jamb or glove box labels say when cold.
just as much damage to your personal vehicles tires can result, in running a lower than recommended tire pressures.
that can be especially dangerous on a 2 wheeler.

just like my stops in downtown Boston. if it wasn't the tight city streets, it was the 2 stops i had as well...
and one stop, i had a fire hydrant, that liked to hide in the snow......Pam in MN Thanks this. -
I have a daily route. Same route everyday. I have some tight right hand turns. I also have some construction areas that have been dragging their feet going nowhere and not setup for semis. Although you guys with standard sliding axles shouldn't have a problem. It gets tight for me.Pam in MN Thanks this.

that is nearly 100% unavoidable at my first Boston stop. when ever "emergency construction" popped up, I MUST climb the traffic island and ride that a few feet, then get off it.
there is a bakery on that same street, that the driver going there, MUST not only climb up and over it, and into the lanes going in the other direction, then he must also back climb over it, to get into the inside loading docks...fun times in downtown Boston....
but that was me, and him, not too many other drivers have such fun times.... -
trust me, with my tandems all the way forward, and as you, very tight corners, and street lights at the curbing, not in further from the curb mind you, it's hairy times..due to such a LONG trailer swing, and a very narrow two lane street.....then the darned dump trucks, and whatever else double parked, right after that turn...
glad i am retired....that first stop was a PITA.....second stop in southie, was no pic-a-nic eitherPam in MN Thanks this. -
Arizona is bad.
Somebody started an Arizona summer tire inflation thread on here years ago.
Always inflate to proper cold psi, first thing in the morning. Even if it's 95 when you wake up in Phoenix.
NEVER EVER fool with the psi once you're rolling.
Dunno why anyone want to live in the #### desert anyway.LoSt_AgAiN, Lepton1 and Pam in MN Thank this. -
frankly, i'd rather live in a "dry heat" area, then the muggies of florida....Pam in MN, PE_T and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Always check cold.
Do not worry or care what the psi is when hot.Pam in MN Thanks this. -
I couldn’t imagine driving a tractor trailer in the small narrow streets of Boston. It gets tight even with 4 wheels. Don’t think I could do it. Kudos to all the drivers in theNE- you got skills.Last edited: Jul 28, 2019
