Boy Just what we need is another small #### hole Loves/Pilot travel plaza. They need to start building large truck stops like Iowa 80, Petro in Joplin, MO, Oak Creek, Mo, and others. Thus, whether there is a parking issue or not there would be plenty of parking.
Rubber duck kw Thanks this. -
Looking at from a business point of view. if truckers are not spending money in a truckstop, why would they even think about a huge parking lot with a major cost to build and a never ending everyday cost to maintain.
In fact, the way drivers treat a parking lot, I can see some of the big ones downsizing their parking.drvrtech77, exACT driver, JonJon78 and 2 others Thank this. -
If they had something worth spending money on I would buy it, but I can't eat hot dogs, Tornadoes, and BigAz sandwiches every day.Intothesunset Thanks this.

Think about it, there is a reason that truckstops sit down restaurants are going away, and that is because drivers stopped eating tn them preffering a hot dog, subway, or eating in the truck.
And again from a strictly business viewpoint, it drivers are not spending money in the place, why do they want to build a parking lot and clean up after them??autopaint and Intothesunset Thank this. -
That place needed more parking. But hey if more people park at loves, the restaurant will have plenty of room for people who appreciate them. I never ate at the restaurant, but the hotcase inside was always loaded.

Their hot case is unique ... Fried frog legs. But you're not missing anything in the restaurant.Intothesunset Thanks this.

The restaurants went away a year prior to 9-11 when some truckstops decided to increase driver turnover rather than see them take up booth for 3 hours working internet, maps, cell etc.
The ones that do that are no longer true traditional truckstops. Because you are not welcome at the table anymore. The table is gone. You can walk up to the greasy fast food which has been slobbered over a thousand times ugh.Intothesunset Thanks this. -

yes they're selling the land off that's why they don't own it no more that's why they put up the fences and you can't pull it back by the shop or even back by the smoke shop.. as of what's coming in nobody knows.
but yes the ones Franks and sons proud Trucking family dwindles to almost nothing anymore and yes indeed you will definitely find that the parking really stinks there now it's no longer a big place where you could always rely on finding a place to camp.... -
