I have a 2003 W900 that I had to pull the heater box apart on. In my haste I didn't pay attention to the wires on the freeze switch. They are both green with a white stripe. How do I know which one plugs into which tab on the switch?

Doesn't matter, switch/circuit operation will be the same.

When I put power to the wires with my test light, one grounded and one did not so I put the ground on the indicated stud of the freeze switch. Made sense to me so hopefully it's ok. Previously the ac compressor would not shut off and the evaporator would freeze up. I think it is because there was no ground at the freeze switch. We shall find out I suppose. Fingers crossed!

You mean the low pressure switch and they go bad a lot. Also could be the dryer , expansion valve and high pressure switch or low on Freon causing freeze up

    KittyKicker Thanks this.

No, this truck has a freeze switch in the evaporator box. It has a high pressure switch, a low pressure switch and a freeze switch.
