Yup...Okay.... Just bend the rules "like everyone else". Everyone's done it. I've done it.
But, get in an accident (or other such mishap ) while you're doin' it, and those stinkin'-### lawyers won't need to stick a fork in ya to see if your "DONE"!

That sleeper is my home.....when I'm running.....
You wouldn't screw with a man's house...why would you screw with a man's sleeper?Socy Grad Thanks this. -
Simple idea here, not sure it would ever happen tho, the FMSCA needs to step in on this and start cracking down on shippers and receivers, to make sure they can get trucks and drivers in and out in a allowable manner, but yes you all think i am blowing smoke here, oh well, thats what needs to happen so that this will be taken care of. If they think so much about rules and regs, then this needs to be included, shippers and receivers alike, no exceptions. anyway thats my 2 cents.

I wouldn't have brought up this issue in the first place, but it happens way to frequently to be ignored. It needs a solution. -
The girls gotta make a living...besides, I wonder how long before Obam-bam starts taxing our lot lizards...would that make it a "deductable road expense"? -
Wal Mart filed a federal lawsuit against the FMCSA when the rules were originally changed in what, 2002 or 3? It claimed that the then proposed HOS regs would guarantee late delivery of their own freight and cost them tons of money. Memory serve, the complaint was dismissed because in essence the court essentially said that if Wal Mart were more effecient the goods would not be late. At that time Wal Mart was taking an excessive amount of time to get their own trailers loaded thus causing their own inefficiency. This caused Wal Mart to supposedly rectify their own problems -
Its basically a no win situation, which I see no resolve to.
And for us, this certain shipper that causes our delays, there is literally a road, one road on their property, that leads out, after loading. Your herded off their property by a fence, like cattle in a pen at a sale barn. And at 1am in the morning, the TS is completely full with drivers that know better than to go wait in line at this place. The next truck stop is 60 miles away.
There's just no winning here, the way I see it.BigSam Thanks this. -
Why live in fear of the "GREAT WHAT-IF?"
Can you live one day without fearing something ?
Personally Ive made it a Lifestyle since I was about 19.
It has nothing to do with being "bullet-proof" or believing I can whip the world.
Its about "confidence" and "Self Control",at your age you should have long since learned this.
The only Amendments this world needs are personal and should be handled as such.
