Can't get signal on Cobra 29 LX

    I'm new to the forum, and this may be a really dumb question, but I can't get signal on my Cobra 29 LX. The SWR says it's around 1 on every channel, and when I run the internal tests on the radio it says everything passes except for RF Power Output. The PA works perfectly, but I can't get any of the weather stations. The radio used to work great but all of a sudden stopped working.

    Check the squelch knob and see if it's turned too far to the right?

    The squelch knob is in the right spot, and on the radio it shows no signal strength

    Are use you using an external SWR meter? The internal SWR meter on the radio isn’t very reliable. It sounds to me like something may have happened to your antenna system rather than the radio.

    I agree. I have the same radio and was getting very low, near perfect, SWR readings with the internal meter. Not even close to perfect but still under 2 with an external. I will tell you, I had the same thing happen with mine until I put a better antenna on it. RF power output passed after that.
