yep, but I'll be willing to bet that part of his departure was due to the Watkins-Sheppard debacle.
I never understood the concept.......why would you want to compete with LTL carriers and dedicated furniture movers? Furthermore, how does one take a profitable company like WS, pour about $50m into it and still loose money??? I mean, for crying out loud, if you just did what they were doing, you'd be making money.
Lofgren is gone, and attitudes are changing for the better all over. Good riddance.

 

Officially as of mid april 2019, but effectively as of mid year 2018. FTFM was Lofgrens idea.

 

have you noticed that attitudes have improved? I have. People are back to being nice

 

It was very noticeable when Mark took over. Things we had known for years that would help the enterprise started being implemented.

 

I'm really amazed he lasted as long as he did... He was not very well liked throughout the company from many people that I've Talked to over the years.

Watkins-Shepard driver here. Schneider told us they will help us find other jobs within the company. I'm considering an intermodal position out of Stockton. Anyone know if that's a good job? Supposedly home daily, which is my main requirement.

 

you should be able to get what you want.
when dedicated loses an account they want to keep the driver. I was offered my choice of open positions, a retention bonus snd the sign on bonus of the account I switched to.

its possible the same would be done in this circumstance.
