Hello, I'm pretty new.
I have my class B and I'm doing a local straight tanker outfit for the time being.
Hope to learn a lot, and get to know some the regulars here before I decide to jump to the big class A in few. Might take go to school during the slow season, just to have the A when I decide I want to move up.
Greetings.

Just take your time and read all sorts of things in the forum. There is much to learn.
FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Welcome to the forum I'm pretty new.
What an unusual name.FlaSwampRat, Intothesunset and pavrom Thank this. -
I don't think the OP choose that name. I think it was assigned to him by this site. I'm not going to get in to the specifics, but we have over 100 members with usernames like that. Most of them don't post though.
The OP is free to change it to something he or she would rather have (providing that username is available). All they have to do is send a PM to any moderator ("Start a Conversation") asking us to change it for them.x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
I was interested in tankers also, but haven't even got a cdl, kinda new also, its the first steps into a new field that's the hardest and failing
-
Yea, I didn't really choose the name, but once I decide on a new name I'll probably have it changed to something that I like. Till then I guess I'm a hammer.
I wasn't going to go do tanker, but it just sort of happened. I got hired as a non-CDL driver, and one of the drivers quit, and they knew I wanted to get my CDL so they paid for everything. I didn't have any formal training, so I stuck back at the warehouse for extra hours practicing the pre-trip on the trucks.
The hardest thing is really just trying to be confident, and not being so nervous. When I went to do my test I was so nervous, I did the tug test twice.MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
thanks for the info i would like to better myself and get out of retail for good

It was a failed joke obviously.
You introduced your as pretty new. I was joking that you name is 'pretty new'. -
Good luck on class A and moving up. Good luck perfecting the tests.
