so I had two incidents while here. I wasent able to complete a turn inside a lot and rubbed a corner post (no damage) but I called it in and it was a preventable accident. First month on my own.
The second is I set off the smart drive camera because I had cruise at 65 moved to the left lane and then moved back over right behind the truck I let off the ramp.
I admit I was close (around 20feet) but I didn’t see the point in using the brakes as I was gonna be slowing down (this is up hill) they called and talked to me about it today.

That gives me a company score of 11/64 (llower being better) or around 83%. While I will do my best to be better, does this seem like an acceptable safety score to you?

(I had two events on camera technically but one involved me dodging and accident in progress and truck wasent harmed at all vs totaled had I stayed in my lane)

If I’m honest I’m a bit salty about the camera because it really only catches what I’m doing “wrong” none of the “good”
I would rather it be on 24/7 then triggered on and off

If you rubbed a post and there was no damage. why did you call it in? That doesn't make sense.

You need to get rid of

"I don't see the point" in terms of applying input to a vehicle LONG BEFORE there is a problem. If you sit there and go hm, eff this I'll not use brakes today, you are going to hit someone or someones.

Company scoring means nothing. Such infantile sopomoric BS playing at scores. What matters is that you are a profit generating without hitting stuff or causing damage or problems.

I myself already know I will not take on a camera truck unless it's my own camera doing the work. As far as setting off electronic crap I already know those who are about to horse her somewhere away from a problem is going to wake up a thousand safety suits in the night. They don't care that I didnt hit and kill 2 adults and three children in a small stalled Jimmy oh no... they will foam, rant, rave and rage at what I did to the precious truck.

Maybe I should just oh. I don't feel like doing anything and killed the 5.

Don't be so paranoid. Most people are so busy staring at their phones they wouldn't have noticed if you flattened a stop sign.

Stop being afraid. You rubbed it. Great. It would better if you rubbed someone you love very much. //TEASING.

Ive rubbed or possibly cracked a thousand things in this lifetime. If someone cared enough to fix it they would. The only one item that really bothered me was a hydrant in downtown Baltimore that hooked me. I got off the #### thing but just so, lucky it did not fail and flood the street. But they certainly came out to fix the dripping thing. As I paid for a new tire on that day. My boss does not know what I hooked, but it was something. Since I paid the new tire, what does he care. Put on a thousand tires... that milk must be moving to the Diary.

Im not here to be difficult. I need this new generation to stand up and do what they have to do in trucking. All those hoarse orientation suits belaboring the need not to hit anything at all bust have damaged some of them by now. What a waste. The culture was much more simple in my time. You broke it. You bought it. If you cannot pay, you are fired and possibly still have to pay at the Civil Courthouse.

I drug a hedge row into the middle of a street and pretended I didn't notice. People everywhere and no one paid any attention.

Usually I do but it was a pickup and I was losing speed like my jake was on. 6seconds is my minimum following distance I just don’t always lay on the brakes to get it there. Throttle on and throttle off back and forth till I’m far enough away I don’t have to be part of their party

I appreciate the situation as you described it. I was thinking of way more close encounters that could have been avoided.

I remember one well in the east of Columbus Oh on 70. A box truck slowed. I found myself out of room and braked.

The time it took that truck of mine to get off the box truck was too long. I found myself 3 inches two and at one and some daylight I was thinking this is impossible

I did not hit him. But I did experience that point where my mind rejected the cold reality of the problem. And it was not a good day.

IF that box truck had coughed or something light, I would have taken him out. It took a little time for the Newtonian Physics to work out.
