Casing credit is like 50-75 bucks .... some places aren’t even taking them at all.
The price is screwy somehow......

bfg from mentioned brands.

I don't know. It'd have to be a hefty discount

General and continental are known for stiff side walls. I think you sacrifice ride quality for wear patterns.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Just replaced my Michelines at 345k with another set. Ran me $1200 for both mounted and balanced. Honestly just get what you can afford and try different brands until you find a brand that your happy with. What one person likes the next might not so it's all just preference. You won't figure out which brand you like till you try it right.
FlaSwampRat and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
Yokohama is right at $400 each if purchasing 4 or more from Loves/Speedco. That's walk in price. That would be my option if I didn't get a discount and I'm sure I'll buy them even with my discount.
Do you run your own authority?FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
345k?? 1200 for 2? Are you talking steer tires?? Cause if so, there is absolutely no possible way you got 345k out of a set of steer tires.
-
No, I'm leased to a carrier. It seems Yokohama and Toyo are becoming popular again, I'm not sure if Toyo stepped their game up or what. I've spoke to several trailer manufacturers about new trailer and they're specing with Toyo. I'm leaning hard towards the hankook.RStewart Thanks this.

I used to no a guy like that to. He and another guy got sh-it canned when a driver tried to buy another set from same place for same price.
They told him nobody could sell them at that price. He responded with I just got two last week from Dennis!
The manager did a inventory and spent time watching the video recordings. Couldn't prove he stole them cause another guy took them out the rack and placed against the wall.
They was still there at end of his shift. But during next shift (Dennis was on duty then) A truck pulled into bay and blocked picture. But when the truck pulled out the tires was gone. Havent seen or heard from him in years. He's probably in prison somewhere now.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Yes I'm talking about steer tires. I got the truck with 223 k on it so I put 122000 miles on those tires and they we're around 50% worn by visual inspection of course when I got the truck. All I know is they lasted quite a long time and we're good tires for me and I'm happy with them hence the reason I bought another set. Guess I should have being a little more descriptive on my original post because I never said I got 345 k out of them. I just said that I changed them out at 345 k. Sorry for the confusion.
