The OP didn't do any drug the day before. They are upset because, even if they did, it had nothing to do with what happened the next day.

Ah so the company potentially set themself up for a lawsuit by having the driver do a whiz quiz .. I hope I get that lucky if I ever hit someone :D

It's not a set up. It's the law.

Only if it's required. In the op's case it's not required, just company policy.

Has @ad356 ever been back and said if it was his employer or the cops that wanted the test? If he didn’t get any tickets from the accident then technically a drug test isn’t required.

If it was only local PD and no ticket your driving record will not show it.

I actually like the drug testing myself. it is a bit of a pain but worth it and wish everybody had to take them, or at least a lot more of the general population.
back in my old outlaw days I ran a lot of small two lane at night, with all the other outlaws. I have had arguements with quite a few of them that claimed they were better drivers when they were a little high. I always told them it probably looked that way out of their windshield, but they should try looking out of mine.

Here is the thing retired, we are professionals or should act like one. The op has a legit complaint but on the other hand we all should know that the cops have to investigate any accident or incident and everyone is suspect until a chear picture is created, which sometimes takes a while. There isn't a reason that someone should act like they are guilty until proven innocent with an attitude unless they did something bad.

That said, I deal with accidents at least once a week, if not a few times a day, and have had drivers who were guilty and at fault but were incredulous and pissy about. Like I said before, I back my drivers, sometimes I am wrong in doing it but i won't judge someone until I get a complete picture and then decide what to do.
