Partners? I have the money to buy a few trucks and trailers but don't have the know how on the rest of the business. You go get your own authority and find some cheap freight we can keep almost all the money from. My wife will write a really nice Craigslist ad. we will factor in your time and money for the mc, my wife's 10 minutes on the internet, and the cost of the truck...charge them all that +10% while we pay them 29cpm. They think they are "running a business" while they are really just paying for ours lol.

 

TB, why would you do that? Most of these companies have HUNDREDS of trucks that they will gladly sign you up on. Some with less than a million miles!

 

You forgot one important part of the 1099 lease rip off business model. Create enough deductions each week to zero their paycheck.

 

I'm starting my OWN leasing company from scratch. I buy myself a clapped out 379 Pete and announce I'm going to lease it out, and I bet I'll have a line out the door of drivers sporting wood ready to sign whatever leasing agreement I can throw together.
