Fifth wheel slide longer then most Euro tractors......

 

Today, fifth wheel being installed, 12x 2inch travel. Except in scandinavia nobody needs even that much.

 

i have noticed that there is not too much 600hp x15 this days at steve, what is reason, especially strange here since it is heavy haul.
truck from my photo is 630hp on 6x4 (264k rated), it will get two brothers next week 6x2 with 580hp (150k rated).
volvo sells a lot of heavy haulage trucks, most with 750. at high loads additional hp save time. in some cases can be 1hour per day

 

I believe the 600hp Cummins is $7,000 more than the 565 including extra warranty costs......
