I work for a Landstar BCO. I'm in the same type of deal where I'm buying the truck. FYI For those who are interested and what @Dave_in_AZ hasn't mentioned, even though you would be driving his truck with the ideal of buying it. You do still have to go through Landstar hiring process. Sometimes that could take up to month depending how quickly they can get all of your past employment, background, and driving history.
