So how come you guys left DHT? I just got on not long ago and have already found several unnerving things I don’t care for. Namely the hurry up and wait aspect at times.

They have changed a lot in the last year. They are turning into a starter training company for one thing. Their pay is below standard. They cater more towards teams and tend to screw over the solo driver for the most part. They try to force you to run recap hours so it allows them to better control you, and more of a reason to get you to go do a live load only to swap the load with a team so they can get the miles out of it. Is that enough ??
-
Very true, doing way too many free miles while also sitting in Ohio to get loaded on a light to Cali all to hear that I have to swap it out and deliver for a team
-
Yes, those are some of the things I have heard of sense I left. I can only imagine what driver turn over is right now with them.
-
It got worse, the camera thing didn’t help much either. Seems anything makes it go off and Driver’s got annoyed with the constant phone calls. Pay hasn’t changed sadly, only way to make money there is as a trainer. They pressed hard for more trainers recently. Then got Nogales doing really bad with so many drivers waiting in calexico for anywhere between 24-72 hours for a load. Glad I left when I did alsoJebster Thanks this.

Even with trainers pay, it still sucks. Not to mention you have to deal with some of the warm bodies with a CDL that they seem to hire. Even the ones that refuse to drive nights !! Such a change from what it was 12 to 18 months ago. Let's not forget all the free miles the driver's do there too. Zip code miles my butt, they are robbing drivers.dominic23 Thanks this.

Ironically those are all things I’ve noticed and have voiced concern to them over but I’m sure it’s fallen on deaf ears. Considering I’ve just started, I don’t want to just up and hop to another carrier immediately but it’s honestly not looking good. If I could just get some practice with a manual and get away from these #### autos, I’d probably be at dynamic transit tomorrow lmao.

Being hired by another company really depends on how much seat time you have as well as your MVR, and DAC report. A lot of other companies are paying up to 10 cents more per mile.

South East Carriers runs west coast and no northeast. Based in Lawrenceburg, TNSkootlez and HD_Renegade Thank this.

So far so good with them in my experience but I just started so I cant judge much. If this turns out to be just a ike yall say then I'll grit my teeth get my "recent experience" that every flippin company wants to hire me and pay me worth a darn, and leave. I hope I dont deal with many of the issues yall have but I'm sure I will deal with some soon enough.
