What have you driven? Super 10? Be more specific.... Also look on you-tube. I have found many good tutorial vids there.

13th gear. Let RPMs drop to about 1100, click thumb switch to 12th. Tap the throttle. 12th gear. RPMs should be right around 1500. Let RPMs drop to 1100. Thumb switch foward tap throttle, stick up 1 slot. 11th gear.

Err ... almost. The RPM change between any split gear will only be half of that between any full gear, i.e., only 250 RPM from 13 to 12 (8 hi to 8 low), vs. 500 RPM from 13 to 11 (8 hi to 7 hi).

Isn't basically, (Drop the RPM to 1100, clutch, out of gear, bump RPM to 1500 but I suggest 1700 because it drops before you can select to the next lower gear.)

Just have to move fast because downhill. Now for uphill, take it a little bit slower. (Clutch, out Shift, Clutch, in Shift) 1-2 1-2

If you're a STUDENT, as your personal info would suggest, you would be well advised NOT to take the transmission out of gear when headin' downhill. Select the proper gear "BEFORE" you start your descent. If you take it out of gear, you might not get it back in, and that could be DEADLY. Shifting while headin' downhill is best left to experienced, veteran drivers.

The only time you should attempt it, would be if you were in an emergency situation and it was your only or best option.

I would also caution you on posting opinions that could affect the safety of others, until you gain some experience, and hence, knowledge.

    Drive safe.

If you've driven a super 10 then you already know how to shift the 13...I had a heck of a time with the super 10 at first because I thought of it as some special tranny.... When I stopped to realize that it was just like the top half of the 13 speed everything came together.. IE... a 13 is straight 5 like a car, rangeshift and the top 8 are splits just like a super 10. if you've DS the S-10 the you've DS the 13 and 18...Best advise is relax and don't think of it as a new tranny thats alien. you've already driven it just in another configuration... Hope this makes sense....
