    I understand pretty well what Dave is doing, and I'm happy for him ( no sarcasm), I'm willing to bet thought that if he takes the average expense of all three trucks and uses that as hi BEP, the 1.50 per mile freight loses alot of it's apeal.

    If you can operate below average cost, you will be profitable. How long you can maintain that cost structure is the question.

    Averages do not lie.

    Dave, Casper, and the cats are back near Phoenix delivering at 0200 tonight.

    I realize we were just unloading in Amarillo.

    Then we're getting the APU fixed at 0800.

    Then we're getting reloaded at 1430 for a load that doesn't deliver until Monday night at 1830, and is only 250 miles.

    Now why in the world would anyone book a load like that?

    What will the cats, Casper, and Dave do next?

    Close. Load actually picks Wednesday morning.

    Stage II monster freight.

    Was just gonna deadhead and get it.

    But now this turns a hundred dollar loss into a $400 gain.

    I'll leave it in my drop yard for the weekend, leave with it Monday morning.

    Weekend at the house too.;)

    Truck 2 is now booked on monster freight.

    Truck 3 could be too, but Landstar still has his application sitting on someone's desk, pidgeon holed someplace.

    So now it seems only appropriate to issue a Monster Freight Alert.
