1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Why don't you use some common sense?

Why would someone with a flatbed haul something that far for little or no money?

You think maybe they want to make a profit?

Now, ask yourself, would you do it and not chose to make more money?

Alawode, you are asking these people to cut their own throats to move your trailer. $3800 to an O\O is a very reasonable price considering the cost of fuel, misc. expenses and time involved.

Don't expect to come on a forum where guys are busting it in a major way to try and provide for their families, and insult them with your rate and not get some blow back from it. The economy really has truckers in a bind not seen in recent years. Their bills are stacking up even as they spend ever increasing time away from home and their families. Their kids wonder if their dad left them thanks to the amount of time they are gone trying to provide a living.

This is an open forum and unless terms of service items are violated the mods are not going to ask them to stop posting any more than they'll tell you that you can't post.

If the only reason you are on this forum is to get your stuff hauled for less than nothing( after paying for fuel, tires, brakes, wear & tear on the truck, permits, plates, insurance, etc) you shouldn't be complaining about the type of response you get ! You need to go to cheap freight to broker your load for you !

Unfortunately this whole thread shows that the general public doesn't understand what it cost to run a truck
And thats what we need to do educate and be understanding of this lack of knowledge

Remember they think truckers are making a killing and don't understand our economic issues
Yeah it feels offensive for a guy to ask any of us to run a truck for less than cost
We could use threads like this to productively educate:biggrin_25519:

    Good point.

I just always figure that people like the OP are brokers looking for another free load board to abuse. Its not my forum, so I suppose I should let you mods and WiseOne do the policing. But when I see someone with less than 5 posts and 1 of the posts is a load offering, I get suspicious. On the other hand, if it was someone who was a regular poster here and they needed something moved, I would be more tolerant. In the end, I recognize that its not my call and you all will do a good job of kicking a broker out of here (or maybe making them pay to go into the premium section).

Brokers tend to ruin everything that they touch, and this is too good of a forum to risk letting that happen, IMHO.

It would be worth it.... $800 to bring the trailer, as long as someone could haul a load TO Houston WITH the trailer. That would pay out.
I would do it, but im not in California. :)
