How do I handle delivering/stopping in sundown towns I don't feel safe in

Dont be a truck driver if u dont wanna go to the ####hole of every city in the USA.. That is the nature of the beast.. Be aware of your surroundings and make sure ur never in a bad spot where its easy to get robbed. . . if you go looking for trouble , then u will find it. I been in some bad areas overnight and never been bothered because i keep to myself and dont put myself in bad situations

 

I refuse to go to ### hole delivery. If I were told I was going to pick to head to Detroit for night delivery, I'd say I will not deliver in night to Detroit. End of story. And will not park in Detroit.

 

How about Chicago? They only shoot a few dozen people per weekend.

Had a history of not liking blacks in the town. Unfortunately all too common in the south until around the 1990's or so.

ok. I was thinking that town is a place like Compton, ca or Pacoima, ca ... thanks for info. if I would be black I would go there today. They may not like to see me there but they will not harm... old days are gone.

South Bend, IN is near my hometown and you've got things just as bad. It's like most are saying, just try to keep to yourself, be polite, and just get and get out. Stupid people are everywhere and no matter where you go anymore your taking your chances. Be safe and keep the hammer down.

 

Vidor. There’s the Gateway Travel Plaza there. The greyhound stops there all the time. It’s owned by Hindi/pakis.

Not a great place, but a couple years ago when Beaumont used to have their OSOW metro curfew, it was the easiest place to get an eastbound superload into. Never seen any black persons have any issues with racism there.
