I watched the video too luvtheroad and even pretended to do it. What I do not understand is why you do not clutch when splitting gears.

1) why expend the energy? If your foot and leg are like mine...I like to sit comfortable and relax as much as possible...picking up my foot to use the clutch is like...excercise...ugly, ugly word!
2)like I said..the 13 speed mid gears are quick shifts, the smoother more fluid the delivery of switch and throttle will smooth the process, trying to coordinate a clutch movement into the mix will slow and encumber the process. Float those gears, save a clutch!The Challenger Thanks this. -

There is no need to clutch on the split... When you pre-select the switch it is already in position to change gears. It won't move until the torque is unloaded. The only thing you need to do is lift your foot from the acelerator let the rpm's drop and when enough load has been removed the shift is completed.The Challenger Thanks this.
