Well, pardon my question, but if you are trucking for 6 years, what was it, regional or OTR.?There's only 2 types of trucking.

I got my experience thew Budweiser then moved on to Sysco then went to rc Moore now I have been at first fleet for two years. And they have offered me this regional position Maine to pa and I would be home for three days during the week. I never went regional or otr. I was local and in a day cab 53 ft trailer I been to conn mass ri. But home every day just is starting to get boring why I am thinking about doing this regional gig but my kids are young it’s the only thing I do not know about taking this position

Instead of asking here, you may want to discuss this with the mother of your children. She may not like having you gone for extended periods leaving her to care for the kids by herself.

A piss lot in California is the same as a piss lot in Pennsylvania.

You won’t be doing any sightseeing unless you get stranded away from home for some reason without a load. Then you will have to make up for it by not actually going home in order to recoup the lost income from having sat around without a load.

She does not mind I am basically gone all the time right now I have tusday and Saturday off when I work I work 12 hour days I gues where I am Trying to get at is do you guys think this would be more relaxing then being local and my days off would actually be together feels like I will be able to do more things and not be so tired when I am home. But I never have been in a sleeper truck my boss knows I like driving and he thinks I would have more time with family with this one position and finally get my own truck

I won’t be waiting on loads what I do is haul country kitchen bread and I will be swapping trailers so I would get more miles then what I get now and finally my own truck.

Are you getting paid CPM now, being local? If so, and you don't mind being out a couple nights a week, I'd go for it. Weekends off or anything?
