Man, everyone annoyed with each other. It's okay guys, we all have different points if view (or is it point of views?). If ya wanna follow the rules, follow them. If ya don't, then don't but you already know you are taking a chance if getting a ticket or being told to move so just deal with it when it happens. Or you can be like me and say #### doing anything that would put you in that position lol.

I don’t sleep in a truck anymore but I still park anywhere I want. Tickets are factored into our jobs.

“Where and I supposed to park this low boy down town!?!”

“Throw her in the bike lane!”

    Lolol

The police always understand but the meter maids you just gotta tell to write the #### ticket.

Every time i tell my boss no, he actually looks up from his phone, listens to what i say and caves in.

If having a spine is a revolution then its no wonder we are in such a sorry shape. Country fulla cowards.

    Its a short term drug.

My problem was caffeine pills at 21. Flat stupid. A box of 40 gone all at once in the third month, wonder why it did not drop the heart.

On the last day I used it I stopped in Doswell after standing around my day cab from 7 to 7 waiting for anything to get back to Baltimore from Norfolk Containers (Having been rolling since 1 am that morning...) and it's another 4 hours to go. Dumped the box down the gullet, stiff coffee sloshed it down.

Towards Dumfries my body and mind quit functioning. They had closed the 95 in all of our faces, all 4 lanes diverted onto I think US1 I managed the downgrade ramp but the constant waving of 4 men and their orange flags turned into a full on dream scape with eyes open, I made the turn but not very well. She started bucking on US1 after I tried to turn upgrade left. That woke me up.

Quit very quickly after. 3 months of Caffeine. I was a flying dutchman ready to kill 4 people down there if THEY stopped the constant motion that saved them.

Fast forward decades I don't do caffinee too well. I'll take a cup just as it is the way I always have. But not daily.

When it's time to sleep, I get that taken care of. Im going to have to clear that up before I get going again next year.

No offense, but shout to the hills about how you're "Handing it to the man"... how you're telling the law to eff itself, or burning your bra or whatever you deem as "revolutionary".... but don't claim you're above it all and you've got the corner market on courage, especially when some of us here have seen our fair share of it exhibited in far worse places.

I don’t think anyone was saying that. What I was saying at least is if you see a truck parked illegally not in the way or harming anyone just mind your #### business.

Of course creating a spot isn’t revolutionary.

I know what you're saying... the conversation gets carried away and we sometimes forget that were talking to individuals with different, wide ranging experiences. Neither one of us are immune to tooting our own horns.. I get it. We all have and hold to our own opinions/beliefs....

...its when we collect everyone who DOESN'T believe what we do and throws them all in the same bucket that we get into trouble.

God knows that it is not the experience but our way of life I suppose. It aint the Denim of the 70s and hats these days but flip flop. We have taken in so many different peoples and have had in my small thinking such as it is many difficult years since 9-11 Nephew is in the rockpile as a machine gunner. I would not wish what he is doing on anyone particularly that he is a favorite of mine. I think of him, but not excluding the other nephews and neices. They are having children these days. A second generation. What will they see? Only they will find out.

I for one would like at least to leave them stories. Experiences and so forth. Maybe my trainers did the same with me I run on their stories when experience is falling short in a particular trucking issue that is not easily solvable.
