Probably in need of a new rad for the truck. Had it fixed last year. Leaks worse than ever now. Bad leak when its running cold. At least it stops when its gets to operating temp. Hate to replace it as it looks to be very clean and solid, inside and out.

Is there a good one (brand or company) to go with? Bad ones to stay away from? Appreciate any info. Thanks

There is a place here in St Louis that sells all metal replacements. I think they go through a vendor out of town though. I had to replace mine this week. Google American Radiator in St Louis.

Stay away from General Radiator, I think they're in Chicago, have a full page ad in truckpaper. I got a new core from them, put it together, filled it up and started leaking from a couple tubes near the top tank. Had to take it back out, took it to a nearby radiator repair shop, they soldered it and fixed it. Called General, told them what happened, they said send a copy of the repair bill, we'll take care of it. Nothing happened, several phone calls, just kept getting the run around. It was only $60, so I finally gave up on it. The extra downtime was the real kicker. Won't be getting another one from them obviously.....:biggrin_25510:

Thanks for any and all input guys. Pulled the rad Monday afternoon and sent it out to see about fixing it. Was not feasible to fix again. And the shop had 1 left in stock. How convenient! $767 later I was in bidness. About the same price as a mailorder unit, but local for any problems. And its a 3 row, all metal also. Saved the shop labor expense and did it myself. Cheap labor, I'll work for beer.
