Left my Jacksonville terminal today. They just said park the trucks and trailers closer together; I wonder how the equipment will fair in the storm.

Parked in Tallahassee before heading to Mississippi.

    Glad I'm heading to Portland.
I don't want nothing to do with any bottled water
Or hurricane relief loads going that way.

Good time for the owner operators who've
Been struggling to stick it to the brokers.
Get every penny you can get.

Nothing better for the trucking economy, than a good
Category 4 or 5 with a direct hit.
2 years of good work for everybody.

Our main customer is Georgia Pacific. I'm curious to see if demand for OSB board affects us.

We don't usually deliver the boards, but all the freakin time I'm hauling the Resin they need for it.

In opal I had to set the landing gear down empty pointing trailer into the incoming 50 steady wind at the old 76 at the NY-PA line on the Buffalo road. The whole line of us was rocking. Not bumping.

Before that by a time I ended up in a field with a bad blizzard pointing the trailer again this time loaded into the wind and facing downhill back towards the interstate. It worked out ok but that lake effect is tough. That was where the downhill came in.

Anything worse than that well I try to get into a small hollow. I know of a few in the region of Harpers Ferry. One in particular is a goodie depending on which side of the potomac the storm made landfall on.

Oh I shall be safely hidden away once we know for sure we're in the landing zone. You do the same, I have a feeling we will all feel the affects one way or another along the east coast. Flooding, rip currents, etc.

Gotta remember to stock up on beer. Running out during a storm sucks. Not like you can do a beer run, even 711 shuts it down once the #### starts hitting the fan.

As always...be safe, hurricane or or not.

I tend to laugh at the storms. I need them so to speak. Two feet at state college on US322? Kewl. lets go.

Anges was a watershed for my family in the 72 time period. I was just old enough to understand the inherent dangers of such a storm when one of our dams was completely overrun and stood to be detonated on order.

I don't like monster storms. I treat them as mortal enemies so to speak. If they come on land, don't be there. Otherwise find a hole and pull a rock over it.

    Im not laughing today.

175 sustained. Winds aloft well over 200 hurricane hunters are getting knocked about. I hope we do not lose them to the sea.

We call those super typoons in the Pacific, I dont know anything in history for the Atlantic side.

    #### thing is still 8 mph westbound. Over Bahamas now. Nassau 70+ 400,000 people who want out. But the blessed thing is this most of Bahamas is scenery, no people.

The #### thing needs to turn today. If not? Im scared for florida.

I'll keep a eye on it. It looks like 120 miles out from eye for 35 mph on to 65 mph and then 40 or so miles from eye is 70 all the way to 175. The kind that will just sweep anything not anchored to bedrock in the land below.

We may even see the VAB in NASA get shredded. It's only rated for 155.

Abacos Island is in the eyewall. It's no longer presenting excepting a couple of whited out cameras until the power grid is gone. For our intents and purposes they no longer exist. We will just have to wait and see how it goes.

They are showing charts that have a 30 mile distance from Fort Peirce Fla Tuesday as it turns, the hurricane strength will miss the city and FLA beaches by about 10 miles and roll along the side with FLA. Not too bad.

They are also talking that the storm is staggering like a obese drunk person 70 miles this way and 70 miles that way. They have been trying to get it to 5 miles precision line but cannot do it. So shes wobbling.

IF it wobbles Left we all will know it by then. Maybe 11 EST tonight or into the night tomorrow. I checked records of Atlantic storms. There is nothing that big anywhere in our Human Kind Record keeping. Paper or Modern.

If you want out today, GET going. Before millions fill the whole grid and no one gets out at all.
