Yeah, I’ve been working a lot. And usually once the kids go to bed I don’t have much energy left to go on the computer. But someone refurbing a 359 naturally sparks my interest. Hope everyone is doing well, and would be nice if another 359 could come back to life.

thank you! i certainly appreciate the offer. i would like to keep a lot of the discussion in the thread just as it can be beneficial to people that read it even years down the road who might be thinking of trying to take on a project like this themselves but i can totally understand your position as well. i learned a long time ago to take the negativity on the internet with a grain of salt.

your trucks are a absolute work of art. i will send you a pm so we can exchange info. i am thankful for your willingness to lend advice on my project. its a big project, honestly this truck isn't far off from scrap metal condition but i think its worth saving. I have never completed a project like this one but i feel iv completed enough different projects that the experience and elements of different projects i have done do put this project in my wheelhouse. I don't have any pressing questions right at the moment but as we move ahead im sure things will come up that i will need some expert advice on.

    Thank you!

The sound of a needle scaler is mesmerizing. Almost as hypnotic as a jackhammer. :)

Maybe sandblasting would be better for this project? :)

Started on that not long ago. Gonna be a big job. It will however let me clean up all the little odds and ends that use to bother me

im guessing that he was actually talking about the air hammer i used in the video to knock some of the fender bolts out that were stuck, sounds pretty similar to a needle scalier.

when it comes time to do the frame i plan to hire/rent/buy a sand blaster to do the frame. but seems how im about 98.9 percent sure ill be using a rear end cut off from a later model truck on this project i don't think im going to be painting the frame till after that is done.

I'm not sure if your referring to me, but if so, I believe your mistaken my skills in reference to my post about doing a job right.
